3-Alarm Fire in Boomer

It was a 3 alarm fire Wednesday afternoon in Boomer.  According to the report from the Fire Marshal's Office, the fire began in a wooden shed on Gunter Hill Road, spread to a camper, and then burned about 5 acres of woods.  Boomer, Moravian Falls, and Goshen fire departments responded, and the NC Forest Service was also called to help.  There were no reports of injuries.  The shed and the camper were totally destroyed.
